HELP - I HAVE OILY ACNE-PRONE SKIN
Glenda said "Oily skin is an issue for lots of people and the use of oils as a remedy can be confusing. Good quality, cold pressed vegetable oils are easily absorbed into the skin rather like watering a plant. Mineral oils are not easily absorbed and sit on the surface of the skin which makes it look oily. Interstingly, oily skin is often simply a result of over-stimulation by products which claim to "dry it out" & the pores react by over-producing debum/oil."
She actually said a lot more which you use which you can see here.
| THE LONG DRIVE BY DAISY BRIDGWATER
Daisy Bridgewater called us at Balm Balm for some aromatherapy advice. Glenda said;
"For long drives, my advice is to keep things simple. Too much kit means more things to break and argue over! I like to use Mandarin Essential Oil which has an uplifting smell that puts children in a good mood. Grapefruit Essential Oil on a tissue is good as an anti-sickness remedy.
You can always mix your own car freshener with 10 drops of essential oil on 100ml of water in a squirty bottle and have it on hand to balance the air".
We do like the idea of audio books for children. The Artemis Fowl stories of a 12 year old criminal mastermind sound good! see more on the AUDIBLE.co.uk website.
| A NEWS ARTICLE BY LIZ WILDE
Liz recommended our products to one of her readers who asked for advice on reasonably priced organic skincare that is not tested on animals.
"After more than 30 years of campaigning, a total ban on cosmetic testing on anmimals in countries will come into force in the EU during 2013. To help Naturewatch has produced the Compassionate Shopping Guide - £3 which includes companies that follow these strict guidelines".
"I am pleased to see that Balm Balm has joined the 'fixed cut-off' date list on NATUREWATCH". She held up our Little Miracle Serum as an example of what would be perfect for Annie Waters from Brighton.
